The Official ceremony of the Festival
opening has started on the main stage of Gostiny Dvor, which became a
Port greeting a White Yacht. Sergey Makarov, Head of the Directorate of Sport Events of ROSSPORT, welcomed the Festival participants.
65 years have passed this year since the date of aqualung invention.
In order to continue great deeds of commodore Jaque-Yves Cousteau,
“Golden Dolphin” took up the idea of the well-known serial film
“Cousteau Oddyssey”. The leading motive of the Festival this year was
the theme of underwater film. Everything here was like on the real film
set: Andrey Makarevich, Yana Churikova, Valdis Pelsh, Alexey Kortnev
and the world-known stars of underwater sports have launched a new
creative project “Golden Dolphin’s Walk of Fame”.
FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS
This year the exhibition hall with an area 12,000 m2 accommodated more than 230 exhibitors, participants and guests from 33 world countries:
USA, Australia, France, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway,
Philippines, Malaysia, Lithuania, Indonesia, South Africa, Egypt,
Turkey, Micronesia, Palau, Holland, Denmark, Israel, Papua New Guinea,
Great Britain, Spain Sweden, Russia, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, etc.
Russian and foreign manufacturers and distributors of diving and
spearfishing equipment, underwater photography and video filming;
diving schools and tourist agencies; tourist offices of foreign
countries; photo and video studios, camera operators and photographers
from all over the world, renown journalists of leading world divers
editions.
