PRESENTATIONS, MASTER-CLASSES, MEETINGS WITH OUTSTANDING DIVERS, IMAGE ACTIONS, LOTTERIES AND CONCERTS
Action program of the “Golden Dolphin” 2008 was very rich. We would like to note some key events which were a success with the Festival visitors.
In February 2008, the 110th anniversary of the world-wide known diver Lodovico Mares,
one of the founding fathers of Italian diving and the founder of the
company named after him, was celebrated magnificently. Daily
presentations, underwater defile of the diver’s collection “She Dives”
for women, Miss Mares Show, quizzes, contests and great number of
prizes attracted attention of the participants and audience.

Planet known world record holders honoured the East European largest Festival. Underwater world legends Stephan Mifsud, a fivefold champion on free diving (his absolute record – 10 minutes 04 seconds – remains by far unbroken), Pascal Bernabe, a world record holder in deep water diving with aqualung (with his record of 330 m), well-known speleodiver from Florida Jarod Jablonsky and the Russian pride – Natalia Molchanova
(eightfold world champion with her seventeen world records in AIDA
freediving) turned out to be easy and accessible in communication with
festival guests, visitors and journalists.
The traditional “Sea Battle” was especially thrilling this year, as the diver and free diver Valdis Pelsh (popular TV presenter) and Marina Kazankova (all-round freediving Jump Blue champion, theater and cinema actress) fought.
The Festival innovation has become underwater arm-wrestling round between Mifsud and Alexey Molchanov…
Friendship became the winner!
In stir and applauds the appearance of Silvin Redute,
phenomenally successful French speleodiver, who developed a
conceptually new type of rebreahters, and the most deep-water
rebreather speleodiver, European record holder, was nearly unnoticed.
He gave a number of short interviews, as well as demonstrated his new
rebreather and expressed his compliments to Russian divers for the
great show.
In the evening, all Festival visitors had an opportunity to enjoy
live rousing concert of Alexey Kortnev and “Neschastny Sluchai” group.

INTRODIVES
“Akvanavt”, one of the oldest dive-clubs in Moscow,
has afforded to all visitors a happy opportunity of test diving for
beginners in diving. Non-stop introdives took place in the specially
fitted swimming-pool every day. Each exhibition visitor had an
opportunity to register as a diver, listen to a brief introductory
theoretical lecture on underwater behavior rules and have his or her
first underwater experience under supervision of proficient trainers of
the club.
