Traditionally every year revenge-match in underwater sea-fight between Valdis Pelsh and Oscar Kuchera provoked steady interests of the guests
Building-up of the interests from the youngsters became one the central theme within the Festival. Company RuDive organized the special dives for the children, teens, family dive, celebrations and lotteries, and dive relay.
Pascal Bernabe became an honored quest of the Festival “Golden Dolphin”, World champion of deep dive with aqualung, who submitted his best seller to the judge of dive public – his book “Guide book into the technique diving”, first time published in Russian language. World champion in free diving, Aleksey Molchanov – without aqualung and Pascal Bernabe with aqualung – mixed up with each other in the fight of the champions’ in the swimming pool. They preformed a real underwater armrest ling to clear the air between free divers and divers with aqualungs. Holding one’s breath, the fancies of both schools intensely were looking narrowly into the illuminators of the swimming pool and were watching steadily how the fight developed at the monitors’ screens. Authorized jury considered result of three rounds in the end of the stiff fight being stand-off – that was a really surprise for the fanciers.
Every day famous artists give a concert at the Festival. Red-hot Philippines jazz-band, the concert of popular rock-singer Maxim Leonidov, unforgettable culinary duel between Nadezhda Babkina and The Premier of Philippines cuisine master, circus show of the acrobats gathered a crowd of fanciers and admired audience.
More than 500 photos and 100 video were represented at the judge of the authorized jury. Russian winter divers’ event ended with Celebrations and Ceremony of awards of the winners of the Photo & Video Festival in style of Oscar. The best Russian and foreign authors were awarded the "Golden Dolphin".
Carpet path, statues of golden dolphins full-scale, fanfares, an applause of enthusiastic admirers and prizes - all attributes marking glory and success of the most talented photographers and operators, crowned Saturday evening festival. This year have especially pleasantly pleased spectators and the Russian photographers who managed many deserved rewards.
There was found Stars Avenue in Hollywood style – for stars in diving, and dedicated to persons and companies that made a great contribution in diving progress: stars of famous artist Valdis Pelsh, company RuDive, Aleksey Molchanov and Pascal Bernabe, the records men in deep dives with aqualung.
Nominees of the most prestigious in Russia the national award this year steels of 13 persons: scientific, diving doctors, writers, the instructors of a scuba diving, teachers of diving business, heads of clubs, the dive-centers, the diving companies, archeologists, businessmen and public figures. In solemn conditions, on the main scene of festival in the presence of set of spectators diplomas and memorable awards have been handed over all of them.
As the preliminary results of “Golden Dolphin” we can say for sure that the actual retails sales of the equipment for active recreation in the water in our country is steadily increasing, Russians has been traveling and diving all over the world. “Golden Dolphin” showed that our nationals plan to spend their vacations in the water.
